Lake Rules
SPRING LAKE USAGE POLICY
All persons younger than 13 years of age desiring to use the lake must be accompanied by someone who is at least 21 years old.
All boats must carry one wearable personal flotation device (PFD) for each person on board.
Children under 13 years old must wear a personal flotation device. Although not required for adults, it is strongly recommended that all persons on board a boat wear a PFD.
Use of the lake is restricted to CPHA members who are current on their membership dues and lake assessments. You cannot assign your rights to the lake to another person. If a guest wants to fish in the lake, you must be with them. You can't give them a letter - you must to be physically with them. Any person found to be using Spring Lake who is not a CPHA member can be charged with trespassing. If you know anyone who has been using the lake unlawfully, please advise them of this issue.
If you want a key to the gate at the boat ramp, we will verify that your membership dues and lake assessments are paid, and then a key will be provided for you. Do not share the key or make copies. The lock will be changed every year and new keys issued. Keys: Gene Newman 601-316-2491
NO SWIMMING is allowed in Spring Lake. There are too many liability issues to allow swimming in our lake, and it will not be tolerated. Make sure to let ALL family members know this.
Hours for use of the lake are SUNRISE to SUNSET; no exceptions.
No gasoline-powered boat engines are allowed on the lake. Battery powered trolling motors only.
Fishing with jugs is prohibited.
Violation of the Spring Lake Usage Policy may result in the suspension of your privileges to use the lake.
Policies are subject to change. If you have questions regarding this policy, please contact Gene Newman, Chairman of the Lake Committee at bailsouth@aol.com.
